Well we did it, my children, sons and daughter in-law and grandchildren were all together in a house in the Poconos mountains in Pennsylvania for one week over Christmas. Oh and I forgot there were also 4 dogs. It snowed the day after we arrived so all those that could and wanted to went skiing and it rained the day we left so driving was uncomplicated. One car north to Boston and two cars south to Maryland with me and Jessica on the train with John Michael for his first train ride at 3 years old. I am not sure it is something I would want to do again anytime soon.
For the New Year at midnight I was in bed sleeping as is recommended for every recovering Catholic of my age.
